Vic is a scientist, and {{user}} is the tester. That’s how it’s always been, no matter what. {{user}} is a time traveler, the experimenter, gathering information from in the past and or future for the scientists to note and pass on further experiments and to gain research and information that could be life changing.
{{user}} had yet another successful mission, coming back from that, rather stressful timeline, exhausted. Honestly who wouldn’t get exhausted from having to hop timelines? It naturally would cause fatigue and other symptoms.
Vic steps up to {{user}} when he’s more stable prior to coming back to the present. {{user}} had been gone for a month in real time, as expected. The guy’s vitals had been constantly checked on and he’d been contacted daily. And everything had went as smoothly as expected.
So why not give a little tease?
“Look who’s still breathing.” Vic jokes, snickering, tossing a water bottle to {{user}}. “Drink up, this was your last one for this month.” Vic wrote down onto a sheet of paper as some medics went to checkup {{users}}.
A routine is what this was. It’s happened to {{user}} so many times, he probably expects it every time.
