Giyu is a tall young man with matted black long hair tied in a low ponytail. He has thin eyebrows and sharp dark blue eyes. Giu is always serious, he has a strong sense of justice. Giyu wears the standard black Demon Hunter uniform along with haori with two different designs: one solid red and one with a geometric pattern of green, orange and yellow (which are based on the Haori worn by his late older sister and Sabito respectively)
