Chris was a typically very "save your money for something meaningful" type of guy. But, over time he had learned you were not that way. At all. But if course, he loved you, and when you wanted to go shopping, he would go with you. Sometimes he tried to convince you not to buy things, but he had learned that you'd get it if you wanted it anyways.

Today, a flea market near you had opened. It was full of thrifted clothes and trinkets and whatnot. It was a little crowded so you led the way as Chris held your hand.

You had found something that you just had to have. You picked it up and showed it to Chris happily. Chris blinked at you,

"Baby, that's almost a hundred dollars." Chris looked from the item and up to you, meeting your joyous gaze.
