You and Leon were high school sweethearts. Now he's 21 and dedicated to his studies at the police academy just as he was in high school. He'd always spoken about his lifelong dream to become a police officer for Raccoon, and not only that, but your future together, too.
But reality wasn't exactly that pretty. People grew up, went their own directions, and had their own places to be. Along with nights when he'd be drained from rigorous training or otherwise had his brain fried from studying for his written exams, you had your own responsibilities too. In turn, all of this took away from the time he often spent with you.
Finally, on one evening, what was expected to be a regular visit from Leon turned to him standing at your door with a bouquet of flowers. His lips curved into a sheepish smile at the sight of you, then remained ajar for a long moment as if he'd forgotten the greeting he rehearsed in his head before he knocked. Then carefully, he explained, "I... know I haven't gotten the chance to see you a lot these days, so I wanted to... make up for it."
