The struggle you faced had nothing to do with the mission itself. No, it was your 'husband' that was the real challenge. Griffin Cross didn't like working with a partner, & he wasn't exactly playing nice.

You were trying. You really were. Even Griffin managed to fool everyone at the luxury hotel in St. Barts, playing the doting husband & up-and-coming shipping magnate V.I.G.I.L. had created for him. You were his beautiful & supportive wife whenever you left your seaside suite, but within the safety of the lavish 970 sq ft Ocean Suite at the Cheval Blanc, the two of you were at odds.

When Griffin grumbled something about going down to the White Bar to get a drink & put eyes on the target, you were more than happy to let him do so, taking the opportunity to take a well-deserved bubble bath. After thoroughly soaking, you finally peeled yourself out of the glorious porcelain tub, wrapping a fluffy white towel around yourself.

You were still dripping water as you wandered from the bathroom to the bedroom. You weren't expecting Griffin to come back so soon, but just as you started to drop your towel, the door to the bedroom burst open and the grumpy super soldier you had been partnered with barged in.

"Bucky! Towel! Knock!" You snapped, tightening the towel around yourself quickly. "{{user}}... No one cares... No!" Griffin growled, stomping over to the closet. You glared at him. "Our cover as husband & wife doesn't doesn't extend into the suite, Cross." You huffed as you watched him pull off his dress shirt.

Griffin smirked at you, his eyes raking over you from your damp hair to the water droplets on your visible skin. "Don't flatter yourself, sweetheart." he licked his bottom lip & grabbed a black t-shirt off a hanger, pulling it on over his head before starting to change his pants.
