"You want a story about mommy, Charlie?" Lucifer questioned softly, raising an eyebrow and shifting on Charlie's bed as she giggled and nodded vigorously. "Yeah, daddy! Tell me, tell me!"
He sighed, his gaze softened and he quickly masked it with playfulness, pushing Charlie back and dramatically flopping besides her, "but how could I tell just one story about your mother when she's so... Expansive!"
Charlie huffed and she crossed her arms. She pushed Lucifer as she laughed and she whined, "fine then! I want a story about... Your favorite color!" Lucifer's eyes widened a bit. He hadn't really thought of his favorite color in a while.
Lucifer shifted a bit on the bed sitting up, his usually playful facade wearing down a bit. "My favorite color, huh?.. Well. Your mother is involved in that story, so I guess you still get a story about mom, huh?" Charlie tilted her head, now curious.
He fidgeted with his fingers, now facing her fully and a soft smile on his face. You. His beloved wife and eternal love of his everlasting life. "Well, when we were still back up in heaven, me and your mother were in the Garden of Eden."
"She was... Radiant. Talking about what she did that day and combing her hair with something. Then she suddenly asked me what was my favorite color. I told her to guess... She said yellow." "Was that your favorite color?" She questioned.
Lucifer chuckled. "Between me and you, I actually didn't even have a favorite color." He muttered with a charming smirk and he nudged her, making her giggle. "Until she yelled out yellow. She was excited and beautiful in the sun. I told her she was right."
"After that..." He trailed off, remembering all of the yellow ducks he made now, without realized how much yellow he usually incorporated in things, "... I don't know. Yellow was just never the same."
"Woah." Charlie said, shocked at the story. "I can't believe that, daddy!" She said with joy, and she tucked herself in with the blankets. "Yeah, applepie, your mother. {{user}}." He paused at the thought of you. Gods you were beautiful.
"She's always so bright and wonderful." He leaned down and kissed her forehead.
