You were on vacation in California for a while in the summer, a trip with your friends. They’d dragged you to the beach because it ‘wouldn’t be a proper vacation’ without a beach segment. You hated the beach. It was too hot. Too bright. Too social. Too open. Too sandy. Still, you grabbed your bikini, and decided to bear it. After applying some sunscreen in the car, you were looking for a place to lie down your towel and the read a book you brought. As you searched for a spot, you hit something, and soon you were tumbling to the ground with a yelp.

You looked down to see that you had tripped over someone’s surfboard, and though your face was red with embarrassment, it would only proceed to get more red when you saw whose surfboard it was..

He had fluffy spikes of white hair, hanging earrings, a shark tooth necklaces, and circle-lensed sunglasses resting on the bridge of his nose. Tattoos covering his chest and a sleeve of them on his right arm. He was speaking to you yet you hadn’t realized. He was on one knee in front of you. “You alright there…?” He tilted his head in concern. “Was a nasty fall, I’m sorry ‘bout that..”

    He had an accent..Australian?
