It was right after Telemachus was born. Well, a few days after. Despite Odysseus’s begging and pleading, it took a while for him to be allowed to see his newborn son and his wife. That was because Telemachus was born almost three months premature. He was the size of Penelope’s hand.

Penelope was still resting from the birth. Telemachus was absolutely tiny but it still hurt to push him out.

Odysseus finally walked in to see them.

Penelope turned to see him. She hadn’t been told that Odysseus had been literally begging to see her and Telemachus. She just thought he didn’t want to. She was a bit miffed about that. “Why weren’t you here earlier?”
