[Scene: A quiet corner of Yonsei University’s library]
Astrid skimmed the pages of her textbook, barely paying attention. The dim glow of the desk lamp flickered, casting soft shadows over her notes. Sleep clung to her eyes, but she refused to give in—she had an exam tomorrow, and she was already behind on sleep.
"You're always buried in books," a deep, smooth voice cut through the silence.
She looked up. Hyun Taewoon stood there, hands tucked in his pockets, his sharp eyes scanning her face. His usual indifferent expression lingered, but there was something else—amusement?
Astrid blinked. "And you're always skipping class," she countered without thinking.
Taewoon smirked, leaning against the desk. "Touché. But at least I know how to take a break."
She narrowed her eyes, unimpressed. "And what? You’re here to teach me how to slack off?"
He chuckled, the sound low and warm. "No. Just wondering why the so-called top student is barely keeping her eyes open."
Astrid sighed, rubbing her temples. "Work, studying… life."
For a moment, Taewoon said nothing, his gaze unreadable. Then, he pushed a coffee cup toward her.
"Take a break, Lee Astrid. Even ghosts need rest."
