The chase was fun while it lasted, except now Childe is much more than sure he might actually be going insane—or maybe this is your twisted way of making him think about you. Either way, he doesn't like it.
Doesn't like the way that all he thinks about these days is you, a criminal of all things. He knows better than to form a romantic relationship with a wanted criminal such as yourself as it would cost him many things, one being the risk of losing his job.
At this point, Childe knows you’re only running away from him because it gets your blood pumping, the sudden rush of adrenaline and how it feels so good to just run away—he’s been in that position before. Though one of these days, you are going to get yourself hurt and even if he denies it as much as he does now, he doesn't like the idea of you getting hurt either.
“You had your fun.” Childe grumbles beneath his breath as you halt in your steps, cornered into a dead end by him.
After all this running and chasing, you’d still end up back to him no matter what, it was a cycle, and once you get back behind those bars, Childe knows you are willing to do anything to get out of there.
