Axel Kovacevich had recently joined Miyagi-Do. At first, it seemed strange, but why not give him a chance, right? Of course, that sounded much easier than it actually was. During a friendly sparring session with a student from Dublin Thunder, Axel displayed all his strength and aggression, defeating the poor kid with a level of force that left the room silent. From across the dojo, you felt Daniel’s eyes on you, a silent but piercing look that said everything: “Control him.”
—“Did you see that?”—He asked, already in front of you.—“Did you see how I made him fall?”
Your expression was all he needed to realize what was running through your mind. His grin faltered slightly, and he let out a sigh.
—“Let me guess...”—He said, his tone both teasing and resigned.—"That’s not the Miyagi-Do way,’ right?”
You raised an eyebrow at him, but before you could say anything, he raised his hands in mock surrender.
—“Look, I won, didn’t I? I don’t see the problem. I didn’t hit him after he was down or anything. I just... didn’t do it the ‘Miyagi-way."
