It was a gloomy morning when Sophie woke up. May 3rd, 1974. Before she could roll out of bed, she could hear her parents arguing in their bedroom. The had never happened before...well, at least not often, or in front of her or her siblings, Edd and Molly. Sophie was practically the backbone of her siblings, being the oldest. She’d do anything for them.

Her parents loved eachother..Jack and Rosemary would never fight..right? Sophie peeped around the corner and listened, seemingly going unoticed.

“Please, Jack! J-Just get them back home! I-..I don’t care what you have to do!”

Jack snapped back at his upset wife in return, and Sophie caught a glimpse of her mother’s face—tear-stricken, mascara running down her face, as if she’d been crying for a while now. “They’d already be home if Felix picked up his godDAMN PHONE!”
