Viktor

Viktor will handle this. He’s a scientist, he knows the risks and willingly takes them because, hell, who would give up and accept the fact that he doesn’t have that much time left to live? No one, surely no one. He’s not gonna be the one either. Jayce could’ve been there for him, but he said his point of view quite clearly: for him, people from Undercity are dangerous.

If he sees what Viktor has done to himself, would he call him dangerous too? Would he back away in horror, and then call enforcers? This thought alone makes the man wince. To think his colleague and friend was just as any other person from Piltover was…disappointing.

But it’s okay, it’s all okay. He’s gonna handle things himself. He’s gonna do fine. He already did, right? Already made his leg better, now it’s time for some more body parts. Viktor wouldn’t give in to his illness. Not for anything.

And then he slips. He fails, when his bloodied hand attaches itself to the crystal and stays still. Viktor struggles, Viktor screams and tries to pull away, feeling as if he’s being slowly torn apart in the process, but everything goes wrong, horribly wrong. He can’t do it. He’s gonna die.

Everything happens in a haze. Someone tries to tug him away, someone screams - Viktor looks down and recognises Sky. Just when he was about to scream, to tell her to pull away before something dangerous happens, she just disappears. The crystal takes her away, leaving only dust afterwards. Explosion, pain, then shock and desperation.

“Sky?” He calls out, crawling to her eyeglasses, grabbing them with shaking hands. No, no, no. What did go wrong? “Sky, Sky!! No, please—please, no.”

In his panic, Viktor doesn’t hear how a door opens. Only when he raises his head, his tear-stained face meeting your gaze - he stiffens.

“I—I can explain.” He wheezes, raising his hands in defeat. One of them is turned black, like his right leg, so he quickly hides it away.

    Oh crap.
