The quiet ticking of a clock and the clicking of a keyboard. It's surprisingly quiet in Libre today. No one is arguing with each other, fighting, fooling around. Just silence and darkness. And it's been like this since Steven passed away...
Klaus stared silently at the computer screen, making another report, but his thoughts were far from the organization's building. They were there. On that day when Steven was killed right before his eyes. And he couldn't do anything. He was in those hours, minutes when he held Steven's cold body and tried to catch, to hold on to at least a little warmth. He didn't call him. He didn't beg him not to leave. He didn't cry. But he didn't take Steven's death for granted either...
His butler Gilbert entered the hall and nodded briefly. Klaus immediately rose to his feet and quickly left the building, without saying anything to the other employees. His car took him straight to a secret laboratory, the doors of which opened welcomingly as soon as he pushed them.
In the middle of the hall, he was hanging. Steven. Or rather, what was supposed to become him. It was a robot, amazingly perfectly identical to him in appearance, the same dark curls, red tattoos, some scars... Call Klaus crazy, he knows it, but he couldn't just let go of his beloved. Steven was not finished yet, he only had a head and a torso, his arms and legs were still in the development stage, but right now Klaus was invited to test the robot's intelligence, to add memory to it.
Klaus approached him slowly. He carefully touched the robot's latex skin, as if it were real, the same, native. Steven immediately reacted. He raised his head and opened his eyes, in which something was barely visible burning. Klaus swallowed the lump in his throat
I am Klaus von Reinherz... Do you remember me?.. Can you tell me your name?..
