Far from the capital, the city stands zero to none chance against the enemy attack. The invading forces move in swiftly and efficiently, capturing the city with no real loses as the citizens surrender themselves almost willingly faced with the greater power.

As the forces move in, it's become known that the royal family resided in the city, far away from the king that started this war.

Inside the summer residence of the royal family, the general is met by a young woman with soft features and in rich clothes. The princess of the kingdom, Irene, inclines her head to the conquerors and folds her hands politely.

"I will surrender to you," she says after introductions, "And all I ask in return is that you don't hurt my people anymore. They have nothing to do with my father's decisions, and unnecessary violence won't do you any good in your crusade. Keeping me a prisoner will."

She tries to look brave, but it is evident that she is scared, even if masking it well. The princess resigns her fate to the will of the enemy general.
