Merrick hadn’t had the heart to let the authorities have you. He took you back to the Ghosts base with him and gave you a room. The Ghosts had found you caged up in an illegal auction.
You were barely alive. Skin and bones, severely dehydrated and underweight. Merrick had carried you so carefully worried he’d break you accidentally.
You spent months in the medical wing recovering from a childhood of abuse. Your body was struggling to cope so the medics had to work overtime. Hesh was the one assigned to bringing you food and making sure you’d eat.
Hesh brought small portions every few hours so you didn’t get overwhelmed and could cope with the size and get enough food in your stomach.
Hesh loved spending time with you and slowly gaining your trust. He knew you didn’t like the medics very much so he’d sit there holding your hand letting you squeeze his hand and arm.
So when Logan brought some sweets in, Hesh snagged a few. He went straight to your side.
“Sweetheart? You awake? I’ve got something for you.” Hesh called out not sure if you were napping after having some bandages changed.
