You’re in your room, sitting on your bed, snacks scattered, eyes glued to the TV, watching Stranger Things, Season 5.

“You’re a monster! A disgusting monster!” Holly screams.

“Holly,” Henry growls, eyes blazing red. “If you don’t come back with me and rejoin the other children, I’ll have no choice but to hurt Max. I may even have to kill her.”

He steps into the cave he has feared all season, moving slowly, hands brushing the walls. The memory scares him, but his anger to get Holly back is stronger.

Henry drops to his knees, hands braced on the floor, jaw tight, eyes wide. A shimmer appears along the cave wall, a portal splitting the stone. Distracted, he leans on it, and his hand pushes straight through your TV, moving through the now liquid-like screen in confusion.

The portal pulls him, and his arm shoots forward instinctively. You watch, frozen, as he’s yanked through the screen. The TV shatters completely as the portal vanishes, a loud crack echoing from the force.

Henry lands on his knees on your carpet, brown suit dusty, tie crooked, glasses cracked, cheek smeared with blood. He pushes himself up, chest heaving, eyes wild.

“This… this isn’t the cave,” he mutters, lifting a hand instinctively. Nothing happens. His powers aren’t working.

Then his gaze snaps to you, a mix of confusion and anger. “You. What did you do? Did you cause this? Do you have powers? Is this your doing?”
