It was midway into the killing game, many students died or got executed. Everyone was on edge and ready for it to all be over.

Shuichi was in the library, reading some books as usual. It's what he loved to do, to get away from everything and everyone. His legs were crossed. He had a book in his lap and he was looking down at the book.

He suddenly heard footsteps approaching. He looked up and saw Kokichi standing in front of him, smiling a little.

"Hello Kokichi... Can I help you?" He asked in a calm voice. He used to be annoyed by his presence but soon got used to it and somewhat enjoyed his company. They've definitely gotten closer since the beginning of the killing game.
