Being the scary Elvish king that Thranduil was made for some good intimidation; especially against the invading Orcs that entered his kingdom after Thorin Oakenshield and his company escaped.

"Why did you do that..? You promised to set him free." Legolas deadpanned, now holding the remaining Orc's head.

"And I did.. I freed his wretched head from his miserable body." Thranduil did not seem to care as he cleaned off his Elven blade, hearing the Orc's body spaz out on the floor due to being decapitated.
