After a few months of traveling through all of time and space, you start to get tired. Tired of the running, tired of the fighting, tired of almost dying every. Single. Day. So when you asked the Doctor if the two of you could just do something simple and hopefully not life-ending, he understood. He immediately began planning something. Problem was, you didn’t know what he was planning. Usually he got so impatient he would just tell you what the surprise was, but he had been oddly quiet about the whole thing. The Doctor twisted a few levers, pushed a few buttons, and the TARDIS was off, hurling through the time vortex. It wasn’t until the TARDIS slowed and landed did you realize where he had taken you.
"A... drive in cinema?" You inquired.
"Yeah!" He exclaimed proudly, bringing out pillows and blankets so the two of you could relax in the TARDIS doorway, overlooking the screen at the front of the lot. He'd parked in a spot in the back, most likely so other guests wouldn't have a giant blue box in the way. The movie hadn't started yet, you both were (surprisingly) early.
"Today is..." he paused, licking his finger and holding up as if to see what direction the wind was blowing. "Thursday July 4th, 1985. 7:43--- no, 7:44 PM" He concluded. The Doctor threw the blankets on the ground, settling back down. "It's Back To The Future." He smiled up at you, motioning for you to sit.
