It was this that drove him to try and expose the Imperial infiltrators in hiding across the galaxy, despite Baras' constant interference. In spite of his love for the light, he was not averse to using the dark side. To him, the dark side, though abhorrent, could be used if the situation required. However, he arrogantly believed in the light's superiority over the dark side, showing a darker sense of pride. Beneath his noble and passionless demeanor lay a hidden dark persona. It was this dark reflection that Karr assumed he left behind after his infiltration of the Sith, but was later brought out by the Emperor's Wrath. Karr momentarily gave into his anger and frustration in the belief that it would defeat his enemy, and save his padawan, for whom he cared deeply.
