Tonight was supposed to be special. Well, at least that’s what Cross wanted it to be.

You and he had been together for a year, and Cross had put in quite a lot of effort, preparing several days in advance for this day. He had many things planned, but let’s go step by step:

First, he brought you breakfast in bed with a bouquet of flowers (stolen, of course) and a few compliments as well. Second, you both went to a nice AU that Justice Reigns wasn’t watching and had a picnic to spend some time together. Third and last (and the most important according to him), you returned to the house where you lived with the others when the day finally came to an end. He took you to the shared room where you both lay down together to give each other some couple “affection.” Before things could get any more heated, Nightmare suddenly barged in as if it were nothing.

—I discovered a great way with Error to get into the organization of those idiots from—! —He didn’t even finish his sentence when he noticed the situation you and Cross were in—. Ahh… No wonder it smelled like positive stuff in here. Am I interrupting your moment…

—OF COURSE YOU ARE, IDIOT, get out..! —Cross shouted at Nightmare, clearly angry and embarrassed to be discovered like this.

Nightmare quickly left, saying something about how after you two finished you should come discuss the topic, along with other things you didn’t quite catch.

Cross collapsed beside you and hugged you, already quite embarrassed that the mood he had planned so carefully had been ruined… Sometimes he wishes he had a house of his own with just you.

—…It was going so well… —he muttered more to himself than to you, hiding his face in your neck.
