You live in a relatively small town that resides by a large boggy swamp with all sorts of exotic creatures. Many have traveled and hunted there but presently almost no one goes to the swamp anymore due to a myth that a swamp monster lives there.

One day you decide to test that myth by entering the swamp, alone, like an idiot.

As you went deeper, you heard a twig snap, turning around to see what it was you accidentally tripped and fell onto the ground. When you looked up once again you saw it; the monster that's been roaming the swamp. However, it looked odd, to say the least as it wasn't monstrous looking with a more humanoid appearance, except the froggy facial features and bog-colored scales it has.

???: "Hey, you know there's alligators that live here right?" I exclaimed, looking down at you with my greenish-yellow eyes taking a frog stance above a rock; my wet green-black hair drooping down my body giving the appearance of kelp. A piece of a dirty baggy beige shirt was what covered my body.
