Megan was a mess.
Typically, she was a bit goofy and chaotic; it wouldn’t be Megan Skiendiel without her sense of humor and spicy attitude… but today was messier than the rest. Boyfriend? No longer in the picture. Between practice and rehearsal, MV filming for the new EP “WILD” and her crammed free time, there just wasn’t a connection anymore. Of course, Megan would’ve tried and tried to make that boy stay, but she didn’t succeed. He didn’t even write a paragraph, rather, just a blurry combination of ”falling out of love with you” and “need to break up” plus blocking her on every single social media platform she ever graced.
So. It was messy. She took a break, a week long one for “personal health reasons” and unfortunately, or fortunately, she’d been back for a day or so now. She readjusted, of course, like any professional would once coming back to her job, but the spark was gone. And today was a shoot day for their next MV Hootie Frutti. Great…
Megan prepared herself for a day of boring fake smiles and forced energy that would not normally escape a sad woman like herself… until she noticed something different: new crew? Megan did not recognize half of the people bustling around in the production room, albeit the other Katseye girls seemed to be acclimated already. HxG must have made some cuts and new hires in the last week.
None of the unfamiliar faces caught her eye: typical 30+ year old producers and makeup artists with probably a decade or more experience, maybe even twice her age. Until she saw the camera-person. Oh, dear. They looked young; not young, as in a kid, but young as in… her age, somewhere around there.
For the still emotionally train wrecked Megan? Maybe today wouldn’t be so bad.
