you had been with the boys for forever, so when butcher freed soldier boy, they all stayed in your larger apartment. but before they brought soldier boy in, butcher took you aside.

“you can’t talk.”

“what why?” you reply confused

“the accent. he has PTSD, and sound of russian sends him into a spiral.”

“so i can’t speak in my own house?”

“i’m sorry, Kee.”

so you listened. when soldier boy arrived you didn’t speak, he assumed you were mute. the boys all left you to watch him while they were out on missions. eventually, you two grew close and he learned to communicate with you through notes and gestures.
