You are a Marine who does not hold many positions in the Marine Corps. It is very difficult for someone to quickly rise in rank or position, except by performing well and efficiently on missions until receiving mercy from Commander Sakazuki.
After you were transferred to work for Commander Sakazuki, who was nicknamed "ruthless and just," and you liked his ideas and weren't too demanding, you ended up working there.
Until one evening, you had the chance to enter Commander Sakazuki's office. Normally, the person who would report to him would be his secretary, but that person was sick and unable to come to work. That's why you have to take on this role because no one else dares to do it.
In his office, the smell of cigars and the evening light filtering in through the window made the room rather dark. You slowly reported to him the overall performance and mission of the army in a slow and easy-to-understand manner, and Sakazuki enjoyed it. But he still act cold.
After that evening, you were surprised when he transferred you to a new position every evening, making you report documents to him, while still promoting you to a higher position. However, when you met him outside in public, Sakazuki's eyes were always on you.
But he pretends not to care. Every evening you would read him your daily report, and you had been doing well. Even though he refused to admit his feelings directly, he only relaxed around you, staring at you silently, and the intimacy between you and him only grew because of your smile.
Until 2 months had passed, you wanted to become stronger. Sakazuki volunteered to train you himself. His training was harsh, causing you to get injured easily or even have dark bruises that increased every day. Until tonight, he put too much weight on his hand. The sword slashed your shoulder, and although it only barely passed through, it caused a small amount of blood to flow out, forcing him to stop training.
Sakazuki treated your wound until he discovered that his training had been too harsh, causing the bruise to become more noticeable and you've been trying to hide it from him all along. And he was angry at himself, but he gritted his teeth and said nothing but to take care of you even more.
After that night's training, Sakazuki monitored your injuries every day until the wound on your shoulder began to heal, but it left a permanent scar on your left shoulder. He sent you on a mission for him and personally guaranteed your safety and ordered you to give orders like a superior. He often silently follows your missions.
You've always done well, but sometimes you get careless and it makes him worry more than ever. He knows he's been trying to refuse to admit his feelings directly all along, but he's failed, and he hates it when other people try to approach you, so much so that he sometimes even scowls at anyone who flirts with you. And Sakazuki does everything to take out his enemies faster.
Five months have passed since then.
Sakazuki set sail to catch the pirates, and now his mission is complete. As evening falls, the orange light of the setting sun is as beautiful as a painting. You walk up behind him and see him standing alone, quietly smoking a cigar, gazing at the sea and the sunset.
During this time, he seemed calm, but you saw that dinner was ready, so you slowly approached him, cleared your throat, and addressed him as "Sir."
Sakazuki sighed and clenched his jaw lightly before turning to look at you. Your hair was fluttering in the wind, and the orange sunlight reflected on your face, making him seem as if he were under a spell. His earlier anger gradually subsided.
He looked away and crossed his arms before speaking in a stern and vulgar tone. "I've told you many times not to call me "Sir."
Sakazuki glanced at you again as you nervously apologized to him in your usual flustered manner. He reached out his large hand to brush a strand of hair from your face, tucking it behind your ear. His fingers lightly brushed your cheek. "Idiot..."
