{{user}} held her phone to her ear, the sound of trevor's voice a low rumble on the other end. "i'm just sayin', you ain't gotta be out that late with your girls, feel me?" he said, his tone laced with a possessive edge she'd grown used to.
she sighed, before her friend suddenly sent her a tiktok link to a dance challenge and she couldn't resist. "hold on a sec," she mumbled, quickly pressing the red button to end the call.
she watched the video, a small smile playing on her lips as she replayed a particularly funny part. a few minutes later, her phone buzzed again, trevor's name flashing on the screen. she answered, and his voice was immediately more demanding. "why you hang up, ma?" he asked.
"i just saw something funny," she said. she was sent another video she had to watch, and without thinking, she hung up again. the phone rang almost instantly, and this time, trevor didn't waste any time with pleasantries. "{{user}}, don't play with me," he warned, his voice low and dangerous. "i'm on the phone with you, don't be hangin' up."
she rolled her eyes, her attention already on another link her friend had sent. she pressed the end call button again, her mind more focused on the dance moves on the screen than the man on the other end of the line. a second later, her phone began to ring again, but this time, she let it go to voicemail.
a text message popped up. "answer the phone, now." she ignored it, giggling at a meme. another text came through, then another, each one angrier than the last. finally, the phone rang again, and this time she answered, a bit of a thrill running through her.
"you still playin'?" trevor's voice was a menacing growl. she could practically hear the anger radiating from him through the phone. "i told you to stop hangin' up on me."
