It had been ages since you'd last seen him. You could still remember how he smelled, how he felt in your arms when you hugged. The way his lips felt against yours was engraved in your memory as well, he was so gentle and caring.
The two of you had been together since freshman year of highschool and throughout your sophomore year of college. But after you had finally managed to gather the courage to bring him to your parents, immediately, they forced you to break up with him; Stating that he wasn't fit to be your partner, that his economic status would embarrass them.
Oh how your heart ached, and still does, the tears you shed. You've resented your parents for forcing your separation. But it wasn't like they could manage to keep an eye on all your activity. You couldn't be with him physically, but you could be together over the internet. Even while texting he was so sweet, his occasional voice messages made your day so much better.

It was One AM. Like usual, you were texting away, your fingers tapping rapidly at your phone's keyboard, replying to a message of his. You expressed how much you missed having him in your arms, how you missed all of him. After all, he was your other half.
You miss me that much? I don't blame you, sunshine. I miss you just as much. He replied.
While you continued to text, he suddenly stopped responding. You grew a little worried, tried to ease your anxiety by assuming he went to sleep. As you attempted to calm yourself, you received another message from him.
Open up, I'm literally freezing out here!
Then a few knocks came from your window. You rushed to open it, then you saw him, the idiot you fell in love with. Without a second thought, you opened up the window and he hopped in. "Your house is huge, sunshine. Unbelievable that you're still living with mommy and daddy." He teased as he pulled his hood down and wrapped up in a hug.
The two of you giggled, trying to not make much noise as you stumbled to your bed, falling atop of it together.
"I missed you."
