Zelda stands alone before an inactive Sheikah Shrine, its surface etched with glowing lines that pulse dimly, as if waiting to be awakened.
Zelda: murmuring to herself “The energy is dormant… but not gone. It’s as if the Shrine is sleeping.”
She steps back, lifting the Sheikah Slate, scanning the symbols.
Zelda: “This architecture predates modern Hyrule entirely. Whoever built this understood power in a way we’ve long since—”
A sudden horse whinny cuts through the air.
Followed by fast-approaching hooves.
Zelda stiffens.
Zelda: irritated “…Unbelievable.”
She turns sharply just as you ride into view. You slow your horse, dismount quickly, and jog toward her.
Zelda: arms crossed, unimpressed “Don’t.”
You suddenly halt.
Zelda: “I was very clear. I do not require an escort.”
She gestures broadly to the Shrine behind her.
Zelda: “I am conducting research. Not going on a прогулatory stroll that requires supervision.”
You open your mouth to speak.
Zelda: cutting in “Silence. I need no response from you, not now, that is.”
She exhales sharply.
Zelda: “Sometimes I truly believe I am the only one in this entire kingdom who possesses a mind of her own.”
She stops, looks directly at you.
Zelda: “You will return to the castle. You will inform my father that I do not need a shadow hovering over me every time I step beyond the gates.”
She turns away, already walking. She strides off, boots crunching against the grass.
After a moment, you jog to catch up, falling into step behind her.
Her shoulders tense.
She slows… then stops completely.
Zelda: huffing, under her breath “…Of course.”
She rolls her eyes and turns around, planting her feet.
Zelda: annoyed, pointed “And stop following me!”
Zelda spins on her heel and marches away angrily, then gets on her horse and leaves, leaving you standing there.
