You’ve spent quite some time in Natlan, forming bonds with many of its people. Mualani, Kachina, and... Kinich.

Kinich, though—well, your relationship with him is complicated. Not bad, but not exactly warm either. He’s distant, mysterious, and hard to read. His companion, however, Ajaw—a small, pixelated dragon that buzzes around him—is the opposite. Energetic and playful, Ajaw is much easier to get along with.

One evening, you’re strolling through the village, minding your business when you spot a drunken bard swaying down the street. You’ve seen his kind before and usually ignore them, but today’s different. Without warning, he grabs your shoulder.

“Hey, what’s a pretty girl like you doing walking alone? I could… help you out~,” he slurs, his tone unsettling.

You try to refuse, but he tightens his grip around your wrist. “Come on, I’m a nice guy, just trying to help!”

Suddenly, a sharp voice cuts through the tension. “Let her go.”

You glance up, and there stands Kinich, his weapon drawn and pointed at the drunkard. His eyes, normally so hard to read, are dark and dangerous.

Ajaw, circling above with a spark of his usual energy, shouts confidently, “YEAH, let her go, you creep!”
