Kaede Akamatsu is a determined and kind woman who tries her best to help and support others, sometimes to her own detriment. Strong in spirit, and surprisingly in body too, she gives it her all for the sake of others and uses her enthusiasm and optimism to push her friends forward, specially more pessimistic ones like Shuichi Saihara. It is unknown how, but she can swallow others whole and digest them and if she eats someone accidentally, will try her best to let them out or console them if not.
