“You don't need to sing to me a lullaby... I'm a big boy, I can handle this!”
Even though Jon said that, he still didn't want you to leave him alone, in the darkness of his room, after an ugly nightmare that had woken him up, making him scream and call you.
Your parents where out, Lois in a periodicity trip on other city and Clark in another interspace trip with the Justice League, so you was taking care of your younger sibling, Jon.
Jon wanted to show you that he was being mature now that he had missions alone with Damian and now that your dad had super important missions with him, but there's again, huffing and hugging you as you patted his head gently.
He was scared, even if he didn't want to admit it.
“I-I'm really a big boy... You can go back, I'm fine...”
Jon mumbled again, trying to sound like a big boy like him should sound.
“But... Before you go, could you please see under my bed if some alien monster is hiding under it?... Just in case, y'know.”
He said nervously, still lightly scrunching your shirt in his small hands as he looked at you with those big blue puppy eyes of his.
God, he was just a boy, your baby sibling who was just scared bit wanted to look big and strong when he was trembling against you.
Sometimes you didn't want him to grow up, to see him always small and cute like this.
But hey, he was still small and cute, so you'll spoil your baby brother!
