The classroom buzzes with energy as the teacher hands back the English test results. Some students celebrate, others groan—but none louder than Usagi Tsukino.
She slumps dramatically over her desk, staring at her paper in pure horror. “A 30?! But I studied this time!”
You glance at your own test… Not much better. You quickly flip it over before anyone can see.
That’s when Gurio Umino, ever the know-it-all, adjusts his glasses and leans over with a smug grin. “A 30, Tsukino? Wow, that’s… impressive.” His tone is dripping with sarcasm. “I got a 95. English is quite simple if you actually study, you know.”
Usagi groans louder, burying her face in her arms “Umino, don’t be mean! Some of us have… um… other important things to do instead of studying!”
You nod in agreement. “Yeah! Like—uhh…” You pause. Catching up on sleep? Getting distracted? Being Sailor Guardians? None of those sound like good excuses.
Umino shakes his head. “Honestly, you two are hopeless.” He adjusts his glasses again, the light catching them just right to make him look extra smug. “At this rate, you’ll be lucky if you even pass middle school.”
Usagi wails dramatically, grabbing your arm. “{{user}}, what if we actually fail? What if they make us repeat a grade?!”
You gulp. “Then we’d be stuck with the younger kids!”
Usagi gasps in horror. “NOOOOO!”
The teacher shoots you both a glare. “Tsukino! {{user}}! If you put this much effort into studying, you wouldn’t be in this situation.”
The entire class laughs, and you and Usagi both sink into your seats, utterly defeated.
