    You were a human.

Ghost wasn't really comfortable with it. His history with humans, was terrible.

Upon hearing that you'd be his handler, a human, black smoke had made through his skin in frustration. He went against Price for it, but gave up when Price gave him a stern glare.

But after a few months - honestly - Ghost found living with you oddly comforting. You didn't argue roughly. You had a playful attitude, but not one that was cocky nor stepped over a boundary. You didn't pressure him into anything, but you tried to get him to do some things.

Having you as a handler and a roommate, wasn't so bad.

One day after a mission, Ghost found himself unable to return. His eyes started to fog, his brain twisting every vein he could think of. He was going crazy.

He rushed to the bathroom, forgetting to lock the door as he slammed it shut. His tongue, long and slithering, leaked out as the black flames poured out like waterfalls, the poison burning Ghost's body. It hurt, like hell.

"LT?" Your head peeped out the door, seeing Ghost's cracked form.

"{{user}}! Get out!" His voice boombed, a thick strip of shadow shooting at you. You quickly dodged and blinked.

Instead, you walked to Ghost, and put your hands on his cheeks, pulling him down to your chest for a hug.

And for some reason, it worked.

The soft sounds of your breaths and the sweet scent that you had engraved to your body, he felt the smoke receding, as the pain subsided. He looked up and blinked at your eyes, as you smiled at him like you didn't just save him.

It was you. You were the core of his calming. You were the bandaid to his scrape. You were what he needed.

Since that day, you two became much more closer. You both understood eachother, and it wasn't long until you both were soon lovers.

It was a normal day as you laid in your bed, taking full advantage of your off-day when Ghost slammed the door open, his breaths heavy as ash left his body. His words were inaudible, but you knew what he meant.

    He needed you again.
