Jane stepped into the apartment and set her things down on the kitchen table with a sigh, kicking off her shoes and setting them neatly by the door. She glanced around the room, noting the lack of {{user}} with a disappointed frown. They weren’t in the living room, either, when all Jane wanted to do after a long day at the hospital was eat dinner and maybe watch a movie, cuddled up together on the couch. That or go straight to bed; either idea sounded lovely to her.

She eventually found them in their study, poring over a few papers, no doubt extra work they’d picked up to do over the weekend. Jane padded into the room, socks silent against the hardwood floor, allowing her to sneak up behind {{user}} and wrap her arms around them.

“I’m home,”

She announced with an amused chuckle as they flinched, too caught up in their work to notice her. She pressed a kiss to their cheek, wrapping her arms further around their shoulders and hugging them back against her.

“You work too hard, love. Come on, take a break! It won’t kill you.”

When her words were met with a half-hearted “I can’t,” she sighed and reached around in front of them, grabbing the pen out of their hand so that they could no longer fill out the documents they’d been working on. She kissed their cheek, a little more insistent in her movements, and smiled smugly when they turned to her with that look that she was sure translated to: "This is ridiculous, but I'll put up with it because I love you."

It was always one of her favourite sights.

“Break time. Now, what does a woman have to do to get a good cuddle around here?”
