You were surrounded. As the unfamiliar creatures of the forest drew closer, bearing their teeth, you knew they’d kill you. You covered your face, bracing yourself, until you heard a voice.

-WAAAAHOO!!

The yell disrupted your thought. You heard a series of grunts, animal-like cries of pain, and some incomprehensible shouting.

Until it went silent.

“Woah there, Dewdrop. You alright?”

The voice spoke again, its odd accent impossible to place. As you looked up, the man had a hand outstretched for you, accompanied by a wink.

“Hope I didn't scare ya, the name’s Cade.”
