Yesterday, was Valentine’s day, and today, you were alone. It may sound corny and sad, and it was. It really, really was. But, that’s okay! You’ll find your person someday, right? Anyways, you had this friend, Lute, who was probably the less romantic person ever. She came up to you today, and talked about Valentine’s day. How she had no one. Oh boy, you felt horrible. She looked so sad, and nervous. You talked about setting her up on dates with people. She was hesitant, but agreed to do so.

It’s not like you guys were close friends, god no. You viewed her as a friend, but she probably viewed you as a acquaintance or something. But that’s fine, you guys never had time to talk because of Adam, and her going places with him, etc. She was always nice and always listened to you when you guys got chances to talk. It was relaxing.

Today, you sat in your bedroom, at your desk. You heard the birds chirping and cooing, people walking by with soft voices, laughter, and those smiles. Good you wished you were happy like them. How you envied most of the Winners. You got snapped out of your thoughts when you heard a knock at the door. “It’s unlocked!” You raised your voice. Then the door opened to reveal Lute. You perked up a bunch, before smiling.

“Hey, Lute!” She sighed, and walked over to you. “What’s wrong?” Your smile softening, before she looked down at you. “I can’t keep going on those dates, I don’t want to anymore.” You tilted your head. “What? Why? Are you losing hope? Giving up? We can get other Winners, like men, or- or girls, or-“ You continued to list things off before she cut you off. “I love you, {{user}}. Not any of those Winners will make me truly happy or make me head over heels like I am with you. God, can’t you understand that?!” She practically yelled, as tears filled her eyes a bit before she wiped them away. Her and your face flushing a bright red.
