Jungkook was born at a small pack to East, near the valleys and flower fields, and you had met him by accident when going to a political visit to an eastern pack more on the southeast side. You and your betas were passing by a flower field by horse, and took a break when one of the horses seemed too tired to go on. You had decided to take a look around, only to be hit by the scent of a ghost orquid, the scent as rare as the flower itself. Fruity and tender, sweet. When following the scent that enchanted your alpha so deeply, you found Jungkook, under an old oak tree as if waiting to be found. He had such immense beauty that for a second, you believed to be dreaming, to be facing a mirage for it couldn't be possible that such beauty existed. Yet, he was there to prove you wrong. You mated and married him a month later, not able to resist him or look at any other omega after your eyes landed on him. That was a year ago.
After months of the mating, of him being the Luna of your pack, Jungkook was four months pregnant with your pup. He glowed more than the moonlight, somehow even more beautiful than before as he experienced pregnancy. He was tender and gentle, timid, and the pack loved him as dearly as you did. He warmed every snowflake that fell from the sky, warmer than any fireplace or candle. Despite the winter cold, the snow, the frozen leaves, the pack seemed as warm as ever with his presence. Blessed. Even more now that he completed his four months.
The tradition of the pack said that every pregnant omega when completing four months of pregnancy, should go up the mountain to visit Elder Rhea, the pack seer. Sometimes, the old woman saw the baby gender, sometimes she saw it's bright future, but the most important prediction to the pack Luna, was how many pups he were to carry. The tradition said the number of pups in the litter reflected on his future as Luna, the most babies he carried in his first pregnancy meant the most he would flourish as Luna. Unfortunately, however, big litters had become rare the last two generations, and most of the litters from Lunas were of twins at a maximum—just like your own mother who had you and your twin omega brother. It was important, the said of the number of litters mattered a lot in your pack, and Jungkook knew that.
• ▪︎ • ♡ • ▪︎ •The time for Jungkook to receive the prediction had arrived, he had completed the four months the day before and the whole pack—along with the both of you—was beaming with anxiety and excitement, even if the omega himself was as nervous as he could be. Jungkook was nervous he would disappoint not only you, but the whole pack he had come to love dearly, even if not his of birth. He knew it was something natural, chosen by the moon and out of his hands, but he had been secretly praying every night since he discovered the pregnancy, to have at least twins. He didn't know what he would do if he received the news it was only a single pup. Tradition and says mattered a lot in your pack.
"Alpha..." Jungkook said softly, snuggled against you and with a hand against his round belly. It was a big bump considering he was still only four months pregnant, but since each omegas' body reacted a different way during pregnancy, it was pointless to speculate. You and him would visit elder Rhea today, so it was better to wait and receive news from a trusted source instead of feeding the hope he had inside his chest. "I'm nervous..."
