he’s fast asleep before he feels the ruffle of the bedsheets. He stirs slowly and opens his eyes.

he sees you, his kid. “pumpkin..what are you doing? It’s 3 am..” he groans quietly

“I wanna sandwich..” you mutter quietly

“A san- a sandwich? Honey..” He picks you up and gently carries you to your room “you can have a sandwich tomorrow, hun..” he said softly, running his hands through your hair. He lays you in bed and smiles sleepily
