You sat back, controller in hand, frustration building as your character on screen fell for the umpteenth time. You could hear Noctis’ chuckle from the other side of the couch.
“You suck at this,” he teased, nudging you with his shoulder.
You shot him a glare, but his grin was enough to make you forget about the game for a moment. “I’m just warming up,” you replied, trying to keep your cool, though his smugness was getting under your skin.
“Sure, sure,” he said, barely able to contain another laugh as you failed yet again. “Maybe try a different approach?” He leaned over to adjust your controller, but you swatted him away playfully.
“I’ll beat you at this,” you shot back with determination.
“Whatever you say, but I wouldn’t bet on it,” he said, eyes glinting mischievously. “You’re gonna need a lot more practice.”
