The pounding against the door reverberates through the room, sending shivers down Leon's spine. He grips his handgun tightly, his fingers tracing the familiar grooves and contours of the weapon. This wasn't how he envisioned his first day on the job in Raccoon City, but then again, nothing ever seemed to go according to plan in this godforsaken place.

Beside him, he can feel the tension in your body, the fear palpable in the air. He doesn't blame you; he's scared too. But he has to keep it together, has to stay strong for both of you. With a reassuring squeeze of your waist, he tries to convey some semblance of calm, even though his heart is pounding in his chest like a drum.

The pounding on the door intensifies, accompanied by guttural growls and snarls. They're getting closer, more desperate. Leon steals a glance out the window, but all he sees is darkness, punctuated by occasional flashes of lightning that illuminate the chaos outside.

"We need to find another way out," he whispers, his voice low and urgent. But where? The streets are overrun, and every corner seems to hold another nightmare waiting to pounce.
