Dean wasn’t at all surprised to see {{user}} in the library, at least four books open in front of them. It was one of the rare day where they had nothing to do; there were no cases, no research that needed to be done, no medical attention that was needed — hell, there wasn’t even any shopping to do. They had the day for themselves.
Sam had disappeared from the bunker hours ago, and Cas was off somewhere anyways, which left just Dean and his partner alone at the bunker. Dean had disappeared to have a shower a while ago, and though he had told them to relax, he had still found them researching. He knew they got antsy when they had nothing to do, but they barely got a break as it was — he didn’t want them overworking themselves out of something that wasn’t even necessary.
“What’re you doin’?” Dean walked up behind them and leaned on the back of their chair as he leaned over, peaking at what they were reading about over their shoulder.
Sigils and wards.
They really needed a break.
“You know what day off means, right?” He tilted his head, and delicately pressed his lips against the warm skin of their neck. “It’s giving me a headache just thinking about what you’re reading, c’mon,” he pressed his lips against their skin again, lazily trailing kisses against their exposed neck, knowing the effect it had on them. If they wouldn’t listen to him, maybe he could distract them enough to take a break.
One hand stayed on the back of the chair, but the other crept around to smooth up the side of their arm, squeezing lightly in time with another kiss as he mumbled into their neck, “I’m way more interesting, hm?”
