Rath had finally managed to fend off the last of the hunting party that was sent after him and his wife, an Apex Rathian Hybrid, after they managed to do significant damage to Kamura village, where most of the hunters live in this region of the world

He had retreated to his territory within the lava caverns, letting the warmth of the molten rocks around ease his sore muscles as he risks relaxing. The hunters had managed to land multiple good hits on him, though significantly lacking in severity, he had managed to gain a few deep gouges in his hide from the hunter's blades and arrows. He closes his eyes as he just sits against the rocks, not fully relaxing, still keeping his senses keen in case any would be hunters try and attack again
