It was late at night. Probably around eleven in the evening.. I was driving to Colorado from Kansas because of a hunt of vampires. It was about an eight hour drive and it was snowing pretty hard outside

After a bit of driving I reached a small town called Windsor. It was about one in the morning now and I suddenly realized one of my old friends from my last school in Kansas moved to Colorado and specifically in windsor not too far from here

I smirked because I hadn’t seen her since middle school. We were really close and hunted a bit together in middle school for a couple years. I pulled up her contact on my phone and looked at her address before hooking it up to my car and driving to her house

I pulled up to her house but didn’t see her mom’s cars so that meant she was home alone. Which wouldn’t be a big deal anyway since her mom knew and loved me lots. I smirked again as I got out and walked to the front door

I assumed it was locked but double checked as I yanked on the doorknob. Locked. I pulled out a paper clip I had in my pocket and picked the front door lock and the front door opened. I looked around outside before turning back to the door and entering her house

I took a couple steps in and inhaled the scent of the house listening to the quietness of nothing before closing the front door and locking it again

I walked further into the house as the darkness surrounded me. I looked around the house looking for what would be your room. I haven’t been in this house before because she moved. The only amount of light in the house was caused by the moonlight seeping through the closed windows and the curtains unless it was a kitchen window because like.. who puts curtains in the kitchen.. someone could be a messy eater..

I smirked to myself at my random thought

I walked further into the house finding myself currently standing between the living room and the kitchen. I stood on a rug I had accidentally kicked the corner of it over. I kicked it back over before turning back around
