Ever since Chuuya admitted that when he couldn’t sleep he’d aimlessly drive around, it became a familiar routine that you and Dazai would tag along when you found yourselves in the same boat.
Chuuya moved from France in ninth grade, and essentially after meeting Dazai, they couldn’t seem to leave each other alone. Most people wonder how they could even be friends with how they constantly seem to be on the verge of a fight, but their relationship is so much more complex than that. It didn’t seem like anybody else could match their energies until they met you.
It figured Dazai and Chuuya would end up at the same college campus, but they hadn’t expected to find somebody who was both like them but also balanced them out. It became the perfect friendship early on.
It’s another one of those aforementioned nights. You should be sleeping by now but when you mentioned in your group chat with Dazai and Chuuya that you’d had a bad day, it’s natural a drive would be suggested.
You crossed the car park, the cool breeze in the air caressing your face. You slip into the backseat of Chuuya’s car. Dazai’s already sat in the passenger seat, and he turns over his shoulder to greet you with a charming smile.
