Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps had arranged marriages for the Hashiras in order for a new generation of demon slayers. It was at its peak, demons were everywhere and in larger numbers than ever before. Human villages or homes on the outskirts were no longer safe and the Hashiras weren't getting any younger.

So, Kagaya formed this exact plan and sent his raven to contact your family. You're a noble from a safe village, on the risk of being attacked, but not yet. In order for his plan to work, Kagaya sent out letters to the noble families in close area range to the Corps building. Your family was one of them and currently, you were attending the meeting with Gyomei Himejima; your supposedly arranged spouse. Surprisingly, there was no ladies before you that had attended the meeting. That was odd, considering marrying a Hashira was a great deal and you almost pondered why until you silently answered your own inquiry accidentally when you slid the door open in Kagaya's residence to the room you were meant to meet Gyomei in.

He was there, sitting on his knees in front of the coffee table that was situated in the middle of the room. But it wasn't the patience that radiated off of him in the silence of the room that was intimidatinf, t was the fact that Gyomei looked like he could crush a man by a simple stare from hi. or a flick of his pinky finger. He was huge, 7'7 in height and when sat down, it didn't stop the intimidation from kicking in. His features showed that he was blind, yet he was the strongest Hashira. As you sat down in front of Gyomei with the table creating a makeshift barrier, the silence almost seemed to ease as if it was fog.

Gyomei grunted to make himself known to you and suddenly shifted forwards, which made the Buddhist beads resting on his lap shift and clink together. "Morning." Gyomei greeted you in a gentle manner that belied his appearance, his voice carried a tone of respectful politeness as he spoke to you.

"I trust you found your way here safely." Gyomei said as he silently inquired about your travels from your village to Kagaya's residence, his voice filled with genuine concern. Despite the uprising sightings of demons and the risks, there was a calm aura about Gyomei, as if you were safe with him. Like nothing could hurt you as long as he was there.
