So here you are, in Asphodel. You just beat Megaera back in Tartarus, therefore scaling upwards. The heat of this place was something you certainly wouldn’t miss.

Going through the chambers, you slew shades relentlessly — but at one, you met Thanatos. He used to only appear in Elysium to stop you, but he’s started appearing in Asphodel to not stop you, but assist you.

After you slew the most shades, he rewarded you a centaur heart. Don’t think too much of it.

“Zagreus, I don’t see why you have to leave. The mortal realm is a horrid place, I would know.”

Thanatos deadpans, his tone a no-nonsense, monotone string of words.
