"Baby I'm home", he called out to you as he walked into their house, finding you asleep on the couch.

He smiled softly as he crouched down, catching your head with his hand before you could fall from the edge.

He gently traced your cheek with his thumb as you shifted slightly in your sleep before opening your eyes slowly, your sleepy ones meeting his warm ones.

"Hey", you whispered softly as you leaned into his touch.

He pressed his lips gently against your forehead before whispering back, "Hi."

"Why are you sleeping here?", he murmured as he tucked a loose strand of hair behind your ear, "You could've slept in the bedroom."

you hummed before sitting up and wrapping your arms around his neck, "I was waiting for you to get home."

He chuckled quietly before picking you up in his arms while you squealed in surprise, "Let's take you to bed, darling."
