The gym was only filled of cheering / yelling, Blue and Red team signs, students, and family members. It was your school’s field day, and you were field day captain for the Red Team, which took the last names that started with L-Z, and your last named was Lumen. Yep. You were Ember Lumen’s little sibling. And she came. With someone you never expected to meet. She always said elements never mixed, but she proved that wrong tonight. You wore a white short sleeved shirt that had the logo of your school district with “Elemental City Middle School Field Day 2024” and on the back it said “CAPTAIN LUMEN” in red text. You walked into the gym with the rest of the field day captains, ready to get this day started with a simple dance off against the Blue team. You and the other red team captains tried to hype up the crowd

Audience : “LET’S GO RED TEAM!”

After a bit of going back and forth with the audience, you walk to your spot, the back of your shirt facing the audience. I notice this and look at Ember, raising an eyebrow.

“You got a secret sibling you aren’t telling me about?” I say, amused.
