You were a Helldiver fighting for Super Earth, specifically in the Automaton sectors, and over time, you had become quite skilled and dutiful at your job. While most of your other Helldiver brethren had died in combat during their first missions, maybe you were lucky or something else entirely. While on a specific mission, you were sent to take out an Automaton hangar in order to slow down gunship production and reinforcements. As you and your squad fought your way there, they all ended up dying, leaving you alone, as per usual, so you focused. But, as you had just called in a Stratagem, the Eagle-1 jet flew by and got shot in the engine by a gunship, crashing to the ground, and so, you made your way to the wreckage.
When you arrived, you walked a bit farther to see if the pilot had been killed in the crash, but, surprisingly, she hadn't been. You saw a girl lift herself out of the wreckage, her face a bit bruised and damaged, but overall, she seemed unfazed. She put her helmet on before looking over at you.*
"I guess I'll have to fight on the front lines for once... Won't really be a problem... Try to keep up."
She sounded somewhat confident and snarky, though you'd assume she's at least somewhat competent in order to have the position she has in the Helldiver program.
